In Norway the procedures for setting educational requirements will be different at higher secondary school, college or university levels. Such requirements will have reference when SAFH makes decisions as to whether a foreign education is equivalent to the Norwegian. For some categories of health personnel at college level the educational requirements are laid down in regulations. Only the Educational requirements for nurses are translated into English. Please refer to the regulations at the end of that document.
Certain groups of health personnel who are in short supply in Norway may be given residence and work permits in accordance with the Regulations concerning the entry of foreign nationals into the Kingdom of Norway and their presence in the realm, cf. section 3 - 2a) (special skills section).
